Can’t believe I’ve only been on the GLOG Discord for a year and a half! Here’s a compilation of all the 119 classes that have been published on it in 2022! the Types—Specialist (S), Wizard (W) and Fighter (F)—have been arbitrarily given by me after reading each class to help people know what rough role this class will give them in the game.

After reading all the 119 classes listed above, I noted 10 that especially resonate with me and whose mechanics I’m totally gonna steal:

• Ardent’s Amnesiac : Play as the nameless one from Planescape: Torment! No joke, I love the idea of a class that resets every time you sleep.
• Loch’s Behemoth : I’m totally a sucker for classes that make a creative use of the inventory as a resource. The Behemoth really sells the transformation into a beast and the loss of humanity by filling the character’s inventory slots with claws, sinews and fur.
• Phlox’s Binder : Having Decency as a stat and currency for a Faustian diabolist is genius. The fact that the class is dependant on asking favors really sells the flavor too.
• Portal’s Cultist : Ok, culty and diabolistic things clearly seduce me, but this class manages to be barely magical yet really achieves the VIBE of doing occult things from the shadows.
• Panic Pillow’s Condemned Conscript : Panic’s series reinventing the core DnD classes for a declining empire is great, but a fighter that will do any dirty trick to win particularly speaks to me.
• Loch (again!)’s Hedge Knight : I love when the mechanics of a class push you towards playing the trope. The Hedge Knight is full of flavour and really highlights the blandness of the DnD paladin which completely eschews quests and chivalry.
• Oblid’s Janitor : I don’t know, I just want to play this class. Such a fun new way to interact with a dungeon or any building.
• Mike’s Scrapper : I feel that of all the 3 class archetypes, a fighter is the hardest to design. There’s only so many variations of HP, AC, Attack increases one can do, so I’ll always respect a good classic design like this one.
• Deus’s Vampire : Deus’s work converting the 5e subclasses to the GLOG is great, but I’m fascinated by how this Vampire class was born from a Barbarian chassis and manages to be something more than just a brute.
• Gokun’s Warlock : Delta templates are perfect for a Warlock class, because it incites the player to commit horrible crimes for more powers. Not technically a classic GLOG class but too good to pass.

I realise now that none of these 10 classes are GLOG wizards (the Hedge Knight perhaps?). Maybe because GLOG wizards are so inherently fun, I’m even more impressed by classes that achieve to match that without using spells these days. Perhaps also because my Tome Wizard is technically already a love letter to my 100 (!) favourite GLOG wizards. Anyway, I hope this is useful for others too!
